The Stash Faery... and Birthday Memories...

So... here I am another year older with lots of great stash to hoard away in my stitching chest of treasures... :-)

My Faery Birthday Cake...

I had a lovely faery birthday cake and it was really too pretty to eat... but when I got home with it this evening, my dd insisted we cut it immediately! lol And my Mom baked a Butter Pecan Pound Cake for me... I didn't get to take a piccy of that one, as the kids wanted to dig into it right away! lol

And I finally got around to taking piccys of the rest of the birthday stash I've collected over the past couple of weeks... the last two birthday orders should be here sometime next week... :-) My stitching chest will be brimming with treasures... and much akin to a Dragon, I'll be guarding it with a watchful eye... ;-)

I fell asleep at my desk last night in the middle of posting this... lol... Yes, daft I know... I was only going to shut my eyes for a wee moment or two... ;-) I suppose I was just too tired... Anyway, I woke up at 2:30 and was going to finish... however, my bed was so tempting... so I gave up and heeded the hypnotic call of fluffy down and kitty cuddles... Thus, I'm just now finishing this post...

I don't have any special plans for my *Birthday Weekend*... It's my weekend off so, that's a plus... ;-) I'm planning on stitching whilst watching The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and a few other favourite DVD's... The weather is supposed to be lovely... I may try and do a wee bit of gardening will have to check out the flowers at Lowe's and Wal-Mart... Oh, and Wal-Mart has the cutest new Garden Gnome I want to add to my garden collection... ;-) My kids are planning a Birthday Dinner for me on Sunday... Elisha, my eldest DS, wants to grill steaks and chicken... So that should be yummy... I think they have ordered an OTT Lamp for my birthday... ;-) Will have to wait and see... lol

Well, I'm away to catch up on some blogging and emails... and then I'll be blissfully stitching and watching telly the rest of the day...

Heartfelt thanks to you all for visiting and leaving such lovely and inspiring comments... akin to Spring's blossoms to the bee... they are nectar for my Soul...

Until next time... Love in Stitches...

I am thankful for precious moments... the Stash Faery... Birthdays... and dear family and friends...

Love your cake, and the butter pecan pound cake sounds wonderful. As to all your new stash, I can't think of anything to say, I'm speechless, it is wonderful. You certainly do have a lovely new hoard.

BTW, I did break down and order some fabric for Easter Ave, but haven't gone so far as to get the pattern yet. Also, got my pattern and fabric for Geranium House, so that is an option as well. I'm coming to the conclusion I need to stop visiting your blog, you are way to good at enabling me, LOL.

Your birthday was as idyllic as a faery's, and such a feary as you is so deserving! The cake is just wonderful, and seeing your stash indulgence was such a treat to me---there is nothing I love to see more! Your tastes are so much the same as mine---wonder why we're on two lists together??? giggle! We even buy the same stash, LOL! Happy belated birthday, my faery friend!

Awww, Lovely Lizzy! - I wish you a very happy belated Birthday - and what fabulous cakes! Wow what a mighty stash you have. Any Dragon would be proud to guard treasures as wonderous and as beautiful as those. You're a girl after my own heart - there's nothing I love better than to watch the LOTR trilogy. I have an LOTR weekend every once in a while and watch them all back to back! Faery Blessings to you my friend :)
