Hello my dear friends, I am still here... I know it's been ages and I am so sorry to have worried you all as I know I have... I withdrew into my shell yet again... As most of you know, I tend to retreat when life gets to be a wee bit much... however, my stitching has been a faithful companion and as always my comfort during the storms... And lo and behold... I have a few finishes to show you all and a couple of new starts... and of course I know some of you are eager to see my ever so creepingly slow progress on Waxing Moon Designs My Needle and My Floss, They Comfort Me... aka *The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pattern*... For those of you not familiar with The Sisterhood... see my previous post...
So without further ado... I'll let my pictures ramble a wee bit for me tonight...
Deciding to go with an Autumn theme, I changed most of the colours on Waxing Moon Designs My Needle and My Floss, They Comfort Me... The wonderful ladies at The Stitch in Frame Shoppe helped me choose the threads when I was there back in August... and Oh, My! Joy, Rapture... but what a wonderful time I had browsing through all the stitching goodies... alas, I'll leave that tale for the next time along with piccys of all my lovely new stash... ;-) Anyway, as I was saying, I changed all the colours, I'll post them when I post the finished piccy if anyone is interested... and I'm stitching her on Belfast Vintage Autumn Blush...

and The Thread Gatherer Silk 'n Colours...

And here, my dear Sisters, is my creepingly slow progress thus far... Once again, I find myself much akin to the fabled White Rabbit of my dreams dashing willy nilly off to the Mad Hatter's Tea Party... Oh, and don't forget if you want to be included in the drawing for The Sisterhood of the Travelling Chart post a comment here on my blog and I'll drop your name in the hat once I'm finished stitching... which I hope will be within the next week... It truly has been a joy and comfort to stitch thus far and I love the colours...

Sharon, Ranae and I started Salem Sisters by Plum Street Samplers on the 22 of August... And yet again, the lovely ladies at The Stitch and Frame Shoppe helped me with my fabric choice and thread colours... Did I mention what a Wonderful day that was? ;-) They did not have Lakeside Linen's Vintage Autumn Gold in 32ct so I went with 32ct Vintage Sand Dune by Lakeside Linens and ended up choosing Crescent Colours Belle Soie Silks in Eggplant and Noir and Caron Waterlilies Silks in Copper...

Ranae and Sharon are a lot further along than me... and oh my, but both of theirs are looking gorgeous thus far... I really must see if I can't persuade the stitching faery to leave me one of her magic needles so I can try and catch up with them... Hmmm I wonder what I could use to tempt her... Perhaps she would trade a magic needle for some Chocolate... :-) I'm not that sure about the Belle Soie Eggplant I'm using for the words... I don't know if it's too purple or not.... It looks more Halloweeny with the Eggplant and I think I would like it to look more Autumny... But it's been difficult finding a silk I like online that doesn't clash with the Waterlilies Copper... I suppose I'll make up my mind once I get further along with it... This is one of the times, well one of the many times when I wish I lived closer to an LNS so I could just pop in whenever I needed to... it would be so wonderful to see all the glorious threads in the flesh so to speak... and it would make it a wee bit easier for me to make up my blooming mind... ;-)

And now for a couple of finishes... As some of you may remember, I am stitching along with some lovely folks in the Heartfelt Friends Round Robin... We are all stitching designs by Little House Needleworks for our RR's... and I chose Diane's Dear Diary Series for my RR.... I stitched Abigail Winslow before I sent it off to Edgar... and he has now finished his bit... he stitched Lucy Fairchild in Savannah and it's absolutely gorgeous... I love it!

I asked everyone to stitch their Name and Town, State or Country in place of the names and towns on the charts... Of course my last name will not fit so I think I'm going to stitch my signature Blackbird underneath Lizzy when it comes back to me... I am also going to stitch a border around the outside using Crescent Colours Almost Auburn... Oh, and if you want to see Edgar's finished bit mosey on over to the Heartfelt Friends RR blog or Edgar's blog and have a peek... :-) It's gorgeous!

For the Fair and Square Friendship Exchange I stitched Autumn Blackbird a freebie by Waxing Moon Designs... My dear friend, Tuula was my partner this time and I loved stitching this beautiful design for her... I stitched it on Light Mocha Belfast and yet again, I changed some of the colours...

I am sad to say I made a wee bit of a boo-boo in counting the border and it's off one stitch on the bottom right side, which of course threw off the entire right side of the border... I didn't even realise it until I was stitching the *nutmeg* stitches scattered here and there along the border and when I reached the last one at the top of the right side I realised the entire bit was off... talking about being *away with the faeries*... I still can't fathom how I managed that one... sadly enough there was no time to frog as I had to dash off and post it away to Tuula... I suppose one can call it an *Original* ... at least I try and think of it that way, because every time I think of sending Dear Tuula my poor wee square with the stitching boo-boo I cringe... I think I'll have nightmares about it for the remainder of my days... Oh, dear... I won't think about it today... I'll think about it tomorrow...

I will try and post more regularly now so you all won't worry... I am so behind with all of your blogs... I'll try and catch up a wee bit over the next few days with my blogging and emails...
Thank you all, my dearest friends, for your emails and for stopping by my blog so often to check on me... I am ever so grateful for your friendship... Your love, thoughtfulness and support have been a constant source of inspiration... and your comments and emails, as always, are golden rays of sunshine through the mists...
*** Edited Friday morning... I don't know what I was thinking... Autumn Blackbird by Waxing Moon Designs was stitched on Light Mocha Belfast... not Cashel as I originally stated... ;-) ***
Blessings and Love in Stitches...
I am grateful for precious moments... special friends and blessings in disguise...

Gosh Lizzy! Good to hear from you!
Great stitching you've got going!
"My Needle and My floss" is looking real good. Time to finish it off and send it on to the next victim ... ooops I meant sister ;)
Hello Lizzy and welcome back on blogging! I have been so worried since I got your letter and your mail. The stitchings you have made are beautiful! I´ve decided to finish the squares I got from you as a pinkeep. I´ll treasure them allways.
Hugs from Tuula.
Hi Lizzy! It's lovely to hear from you! Wow, such beautiful stitching to look at here, you've sure been busy. I can't wait to stitch on your RR, it goes to Donna next and then me woohoo!!
I hope you are ok. Thinking of you [[hugs}}
I have to say...that WOW! Those pictures are all gorgeous :) I love everything that you have done and the idea to do the Dear Diary series as a NRR and put their name and Town as the signature on each peice...well that is just SUPER!
What a wonderful piece you shall have at the end! Fair and Square is going gangbusters and you've gotten some really great squares and have shared some superior squares :)
HI Lizzy, nice to see you back in action... beautiful start on the Sisterhood - you'll be finished in no time.
Your needle must have been smokin' - what beautiful pieces you have been working on - such lovely colours.
How lovely to see you back blogging Lizzy! I have been worried about you with you being away so long. You have certainly been busy while you were away and your stitching is, as always, gorgeous. It is always a joy to visit your blog and I am so glad you are back:) {{{{hugs}}}}
How nice to hear from you! Yep, I was one of the worried ones, especially when you did not answer my email. Glad you are resurfacing again! All of your stitching was a treat to look at this morning! I like the idea of the autumn conversion for My Needle and Thread!! {{{HUGS}}}
So glad you're ok and your stitching is comforting you. I tend to withdraw when I am overwhelmed too. Your stitching is gorgeous! So many beautiful pieces. I LOVE Salem Sisters, and I think the purple is beautiful. Once you get your other color in there, see what you think. And thanks for bringing a little bit of Autumn to my day!
Hi Lizzy, loving the Autumn colors in your stitching. I love the color changes in my needle and floss! Your SS is also gorgeous with the colors you chose. No worries about catching up-just enjoy the stitching. Beautiful work-congrats!
Hello Lizzy i'm SuReina and i'm new to cross stitching and i just wanted to say i love your work and i'm so jealous of your stash.
Be well and Blessed be
Lizzy! What an absolute joy to come back to blogland and be met by your comforting stitchy photo's! I truly love that within 10 seconds of reading your post I felt like I was back.
Now, call me weird, but I really, really love your 'boo boo', lol. That's exactly the sort of thing that appeals to me. It's a piece that may have been done by numerous stitchers, but now there is only ONE Lizzy original! That little quirk is just the sort of thing that I love.
How wonderful to find you busy and inspired and productive after my (our) absence :D
{{hugs}}
Hi! Lizzy, I was happy to see you had a new post.
You have some beautiful stitching there. I love everything.
I hope you are feeling better and eveything has worked out good for you.
{{{{Hugs}}}}

So many pretty projects! Thanks for sharing them all. It's good to hear from you!
Its such a treat to read your blog and see all your lovely pictures, Lizzy! I love your floss and fabric choices for the designs - such warm and wonderful colours. I so love Autumn!!
So glad to hear from you again! Your stitching is looking great as usual! Edgar sent me your RR, so I'm getting ready to start on yours!
Donna
Lizzy, how wonderful to see you back, and to see all your wonderful stitching. No wonder you haven't been blogging, you've been much to busy with your needle stitching stuff to show us.
My Needle and My Floss is looking fantastic, the Autumn tone colors you chose are so pretty, and work great with the fabric. All your other pieces (given, received, and in the RR) look great too. I can't remember if I asked before to be put in the drawing for My Needle and My Floss, but if I didn't if you'd add my name I'd appreciate it.
Glad to hear you had such a fun time visiting your LNS, and it sounds like they were wonderfully helpful with changing the colors around on several of your projects. Salem Sisters is such a neat piece, I'm watching the others stitching this as well. At this point the eggplant does look like it could be a bit to much on the Halloween side, however, it may tone down a lot when you get more of the other colors and areas done. As you say, it will be a wait and see on that one, it is a lovely color though.
Looking forward to hearing more about your fun shopping trip, and the stash that you got. {{hugs}}
Sue
Everything looks beautiful Lizzy, and it's good to see you again both on your blog and mine!
Wow!! Lizzy, you took us on a photo extravaganza!! I love all you've been stitching and are stitching and plan to stitch! So glad to have you back and sharing with your own unique "voice." Wish I were on the "Sisterhood of the Travelling..." with all of you, just to be a part of such fabulous stitching women!
Hugs,
Deb
Your finishes are gorgeous Lizzy and you have some beautiful wips too.
I'm so sorry that you've been going through such a tough time and hope things will turn around for you soon.
Margaret

Hello Lizzy, its good to hear from you. I can sincerely relate to the need for a break and am in the same boat as you except that I'm not stitching. :-( I'm hoping to get in the swing of things again soon.
All your pics are great. You're very talented in picking out different thread colors. I'm looking forward to seeing more pics when time allows.
Lizzy, I've missed you!!!! and it's soo nice to see stitching from you again ..I love the F&S's that you and Tuula did for each other :) and the color changes for My Needle are yummy!!! Don't stay away so long next time ..

Hello, I have a funny story I started my blog last week, I frequent Vonna's blog and left a comment. She nice as she is, put a link to my blog on her site. Daisy went to Vonna's site then came to my site and left a comment. This morning I went to Daisy's site there I noticed a word Lilesville, NC. What?? I then found your site. I did not think there were any breathing cross stitchers in this county. I live on the western end of the county in the big Metropolis of Peachland. Hello neighbor!! I grew up in Lilesville, I have family in Lilesville. Wow it is a small world. You have beautiful stitching love the site!! Stitch N Frame is good!! I went last Friday myself. Take care neighbor!!
Hi Lizzie :) It is good to see you posted again, all of your stitching is so yummy. I could eat it up :D I am glad that you have been stitching, I love the conversion you did for the traveling pattern, it is very pretty. I would be interested in receiving it at some point, that looks like fun. If I did get it, I’d love to know what colors you are using. I hope all is well with you and your family <3
Hey there :)
